One such visa offered by the MOFA is the Saudi family residence visa, which is given to the immediate family members of Saudi Arabia’s authorized expatriates to sponsor the migrations of their families.

In Saudi Arabia, you can apply for a permanent family visa online or by completing an Istiqdam form, paying the cost, and providing all the necessary documentation. The steps are listed below.
The following requirements must be satisfied before an expat can apply for a permanent family visa in Saudi Arabia.
When requesting a permanent family visa, the iqama validity should not be shorter than three months.
You must work in respectable professions (List under this link ).
Only your wife and kids may apply for a permanent family visa.
Children who are older than 18 cannot apply for a visa.
Only one wife may apply for the visa at once.
For your mother or father, you cannot apply for a permanent family visa (parents).
The required GOSI Certificate minimum wage for a Saudi Arabian permanent family visa is SR 3,500.

Online permanent family visa application:
Only those with a few specific vocations are eligible to apply for the permanent family visa online.

Your complete information, including your Full Name, Iqama Number, Passport Number, Passport Expiry Date, Religion, Mobile Number, Nationality, Iqama Expiration Date, Passport Issue Date, Passport Issue Place, and Iqama Profession, will then show on a new page. This application form will show up on your computer screen if you are qualified to submit an online application for a permanent family visa. You must provide information like :
The amount of your salary in SAR.
Education Level.
Date of completion of education at the highest level;
major subjects covered.

After completing this form, you must add the dependents' names, passport numbers, ages, religions, and relationships to you as well as the port of embarkation.
The city where your family's passports will have their visas stamped is referred to as the "Port of Boarding."
If the dependent's second and third names are not accessible, you just need to enter "-" in place of them.

Post-Applicant Procedure
The Absher system will give you the opportunity to print the application after you've submitted it. Give it to your company's HR to sign and seal after you have signed it.
Within 30 days of submission, the business will certify the SR 30 application through the Chamber of Commerce's online system.
You must commence the application against the SR 30 charge in person at the chamber of business within 30 days of the online attestation's submission.

The grounds for rejecting the online application:
Because your application does not adhere to Istiqdam e-service business rules, it cannot be processed.
The system will prompt you to attend the Istiqdam office if your profession disqualifies you from applying for a permanent family visa and display the following notice.
You are not listed as a sponsor on the family immigration application. Visit Istiqdam for more information.
If you see this notice, it signifies that your employer's Maktab Amal account, chamber of commerce membership, or commercial registration has expired.
Istiqdam is the place to apply for a permanent family visa.
The Istiqdam is the second way to apply for a permanent family visa in Saudi Arabia for use starting in 2023.
You must make an Istiqdam appointment in the city where the chamber of commerce has attested your documents first.
Essential Documents

Check out the Istiqdam
Organize all the paperwork needed to apply for a permanent family visa in Saudi Arabia in a file, then go to the Istiqdam office when the time comes.
You must visit the Istiqdam Jawazat Office in the Rehab District if you reside in Jeddah.
Yellow Slip
You will be called back to the window after around 30 minutes, and if all goes according to plan, you will be granted a yellow slip.

Post-Applicant Procedure

Permanent Family Visa cancellation
You can always cancel the permanent family visa before it is stamped on the passport and receive a refund of SR 2,000 if you decide not to bring your family to Saudi Arabia.

In a letter to the Jawazat officer, your sponsor should state why you need to revoke your permanent family visa. The Chamber of Commerce also needs to vouch for this letter.

You must now return to the Istiqdam location that you went to when you applied for the permanent family visa.
You would be given a form to complete. If you don't speak Arabic, you can ask someone who does for assistance or take it outside and have some SR 15 agents fill it out.
Your permanent family visa will be revoked if you give the form and the aforementioned papers to the visa officer.
The original payment account will receive a complete reimbursement of the SR 2,000 visa cost.
